Bold and Blue Kitchen

Water damage wrecked this kitchen, but a little work and some color made it good as new! The clients wanted to avoid the white kitchen trend, so they decided to do things a little differently. Beautiful, hand made tiles add dimension to the backsplash, a mix of wood tones and painted cabinets bring both warmth and sophistication.

Since they basically had to start from scratch, the clients were able to customize the space to fit them. This included flooring, appliance locations, cabinet style, and more.

Lighting, as always, was an important consideration. A fan was added to the dining space, pendants for over the island, and under cabinet lights everywhere. With the large windows and additional lighting, they no longer have to worry about working in a dark space.

Why settle for one counter when you can have both? The clients wanted both quartz and granite, so that is what we gave them. We found a lovely white quartz with blue veining for the sink area and a warm-toned granite, also with blue veining, for the island and the far side of the kitchen.

Hearing about water damage is one thing, but seeing it is another. This was the space that we walked into and what stands in its place now.
