Open Traditional Kitchen
This kitchen was cramped and severely lacking in usable storage. We stripped the kitchen down to its studs, pushed a wall out by a few feet, and started from scratch. All new custom cabinets were installed, the doorway was moved and enlarged, the laundry room was reconfigured, and a massive island was added.

This kitchen was built for both form and function. This family uses their kitchen a lot, so organization was essential. By adding so many new cabinets, they were able to find a place for everything. The large island makes it easier for the family to cook together and the extra seating allows them to entertain as well!
We added dramatic chandeliers in neutral colors to bring more light, put planks on the ceiling, and installed special outlets under the upper cabinets to supply power to a variety of electronic devices.
Our client asked for a desk in the kitchen, so we supplied one. Onyx tiles create a beautiful and interesting backsplash, the rolling office chair matches the subtle color scheme, and special attachments for her iPad make it the perfect place to research new recipes or get some work done while dinner cooks.
This laundry room didn't change size at all but the cabinet configuration made it a lot more workable. Because the family uses it as a mudroom, we included a bench seat and coat hooks. The countertop is made of quartz, making it low-maintanance, non-porous, and easy to disinfect.
