The Biggest Trend of 2019 is...

COLOR!

That's right. It isn't even a specific color. Just color in general.

For those of you who aren't aware, farmhouse is slowing down and color is what's hot. For the last few years, I've been mentioning that people are getting tired of gray, but I don't think you really believed me. Gray has been everywhere for a number of years and the white farmhouse look rose to popularity because of the show "Fixer Upper". There is nothing wrong with the look, but it is getting a little... bland for people.

Thus, the resurgence of colors, particularly bold ones.

Not sure I'm telling the truth? Well, here are two magazine covers from Traditional Home.

Notice anything?

Can you see the difference? Notice the bold, rich colors on the cover from this year. The only color in 2017 was from the brick wall and the greenery near the window. It is quite the change.

So, don't be surprised when you see a shift in color scheme at Home Goods. Change is coming, though it often takes time to trickle down to the majority of consumers.
